I recently watched Season 1 of The Apothecary Diaries, and I enjoyed it more than I expected. At first, I thought it would be a simple romance set in an old palace. But after a few episodes, I realized it was actually a fun mystery with interesting characters. I kept wanting to watch the next episode.

최근에 《약사의 혼잣말》 시즌1을 봤는데 생각보다 훨씬 재미있었습니다. 처음에는 옛날 궁궐을 배경으로 한 평범한 로맨스 애니메이션인 줄 알았어요. 그런데 몇 편 보다 보니 개성 있는 캐릭터와 흥미로운 사건이 등장하는 추리물이더라고요. 다음 이야기가 궁금해서 계속 보게 됐습니다.

Maomao Is the Best Part

가장 매력적인 캐릭터, 마오마오

My favorite character is definitely Maomao. She is smart, calm, and a little strange in a funny way. While other people are interested in beautiful clothes or romance, Maomao gets excited about herbs and poisons. I especially liked how she noticed small clues and solved problems that nobody else could understand.

제가 가장 좋아하는 캐릭터는 역시 마오마오입니다. 똑똑하고 침착하면서도 조금 엉뚱한 면이 있어요. 다른 사람들이 예쁜 옷이나 연애에 관심을 가질 때 마오마오는 약초와 독에 더 관심을 보입니다. 특히 다른 사람들이 놓친 작은 단서를 발견하고 사건을 해결하는 모습이 정말 좋았습니다.

Jinshi Makes the Story More Fun

진시가 등장하면 더 재미있어지는 이야기

Jinshi is another character I really enjoyed watching. He is handsome and charming, but Maomao doesn't seem impressed at all. Her reactions to him are sometimes hilarious. I liked their conversations because they felt natural and funny. Their relationship slowly changes throughout the season, which makes the story even more interesting.

진시도 빼놓을 수 없는 캐릭터입니다. 잘생기고 매력적인 인물이지만 마오마오는 전혀 관심이 없어 보입니다. 오히려 진시를 귀찮아하는 반응이 웃길 때도 많아요. 두 사람의 대화가 재미있고 자연스러워서 좋았습니다. 시즌이 진행되면서 조금씩 달라지는 두 사람의 관계도 흥미로웠습니다.

What I liked most was the way Maomao solved different mysteries inside the palace. Some cases looked simple at first, but there was often a surprising reason behind them. I also enjoyed the beautiful palace backgrounds and colorful outfits. The animation made the story even more enjoyable.

가장 재미있었던 부분은 마오마오가 궁궐에서 벌어지는 여러 사건을 해결하는 과정입니다. 처음에는 단순해 보이는 사건도 알고 보면 의외의 이유가 숨어 있더라고요. 궁궐의 아름다운 배경과 화려한 의상도 보는 재미가 있었습니다. 작화가 좋아서 이야기에 더 몰입할 수 있었어요.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Apothecary Diaries Season 1. It has mystery, humor, beautiful animation, and a little romance. The story never felt too heavy, and Maomao was such a fun character to follow.
